LITTLE ELM (CBSDFW.COM) – A Little Elm ISD School bus with 43 students on board collided with an SUV Tuesday afternoon. According to Sgt. Compton of the Little Elm Police Department, one student bumped her head on the seat in front of her. She was released to her mother at the scene. No other injuries were reported.
Compton said the accident occurred at the intersection of Witt Rd. and Lake Fork Lane. There was only one occupant in the SUV.
According to Compton it appeared the bus “failed to yield the right-of-way” to the SUV at the open intersection. There are no stop lights or stop signs at the intersection.
